This spontaneously breathing patient was recorded before and after drainage of pleural fluid. The first image reveals extremely low ventilation of the right lung prior to treatment. The second image, recorded immediately after removal of 3.8 liters fluid from the right pleural space, documents the success of the intervention adn the bad condition of the right lung.
