Slight Right Pleural Effusion

Non-Smoker, Malignant Pleural Effusion Due to Renal Cell Carcinoma - 50 y.o. Female
Pre-Drainage:

Post-Drainage:

Pre-Drainage image by the VRIXP™ device:
Amputation the right lower lung with  diminished intensity in the surrounding
area (an absence of a part normally expected to be present).

Post-Drainage image by the VRIXP™ device:
Dramatic improvement in the right lower lung
  Amputation is no longer evident
Removal of fluid allows normal expansion of the lungs

Explanation: the fluid located in the right lower prevents normal lung expansion to that area and decreases the transmission of vibration energy from that area, and the surrounding area suffers from a passive atalectasis that reflects as lower vibration intensity in that area.   Note: this patient has no lung disease this allows for the lung to regain functionality easily post-drainage.
