Image by the VRIxp™ Device Pre-treatment:
Severe dynamic disturbance (asynchronism of the energy movement)
Uneven ventilation with inconsistent progression ofvibration energy in the lungs
Scattered wheezes (indicated in red) are evident on both lung fields
Pulmonary Function Test: FEV1 67%
Image by the VRIxp™ Device Post-treatment:
Higher intensity in the inspiration phase
Less dynamic disturbance
Consistent progression of vibration energy in the lungs
Wheezes are resolved
Pulmonary Function Test: FEV1 78% (17% of change)
|
| Explanation: the improved image of the VRIxp™ device post-bonchodilators correlates to the clinical and FEV1 improvement of the patient |

Image by the VRIxp™ Device Pre-treatment:
The shape of the vibration energy graph demonstrates the patient's condition
Every breathing cycle differs
Inconsistent progression of the lungs (left lags behind) and an inverse
dominance (when one side is dominant in inspiration but then the
opposite side becomes dominant in expiration).
Wheezes are evident
PFT: FEV1 61%
Image by the VRIxp™ Device Post-treatment:
Vibration energy graph with repetitive breathing cycles
Both lungs progress consistently, with a weakness of the left lung (this
difference is prominent in the expiratory phase).
PFT: FEV1 61%. |
|
Explanation: post-treatment we see a dramatic improvement in the image as well as the shape of the vibration energy graph. This patient still has an abnormal image but it has improved compared to pre-treatment image. Note: the PFT’s did not improve.
