Airway Secretion & Stenosis

Relapsing Polychondritis - 60 y.o. Male
Patient Data
Ten years ago the patient underwent stent placement in the left main bronchus, 4 days prior to a stent placement to the right main bronchus, the patient underwent a non-invasive 12 second procedure by the VRIXP™  device. The patient was also scheduled to have a follow up fibroscopy CT.
  Pre and Post-Initial Interventional Procedure:

Secretions filling the right lung
               airways

The image by the VRIxp™ device shows:
Dynamic disturbance in the right lung more so than in the left lung
Abnormally shaped right lung demonstrating a disturbance in the vibration energy pattern
Amputation of the left upper lung
Explanation:  the image by the VRIxp™ device raises a suspicion that there is a defect in ventilation in the left upper area and a vibration energy pattern that could be indicative of adventitious lung sounds that were created by the right lung. The fibroscopy image demonstrates secretions filling the right lung airways and an obstruction in the airway leading to the left upper lobe.
