As the ex-CEO for four years of Spectrum Dynamics, a medical imaging company, the President & CEO of Aprion Digital between 1999-2003 and as a past Vice President of Scitex Corporation, Miki brings with him significant experience in building and bettering companies and in making the transition from the development phase to the commercialization phase, in the medical field and elsewhere.
Miki is a graduate of the MIT Sloan School of Management Senior Executive Course and has a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Arizona.

Igal Kushnir, MD |

Dr. Kushnir is the founder of Deep Breeze Ltd. Holder of other medical device patents, Dr. Kushnir invented a device in body thermoregulation for MTRE Advanced Technologies of which he was the founder and Chief Executive Officer. With vast experience as a family physician specializing in Paediatrics, Dr. Kushnir has had a private clinical practice for the past 30 years. For 10 years Dr. Kushnir held the position of chief physician and medical manager for a hospital for chronically ill patients. Ranked as Captain Major, he served in the military reserve duty as a division doctor; he has also lectured in several academic institutions. Dr. Kushnir graduated cum laude from Tel Aviv University (Israel) and holds a Medical Degree specializing in Paediatrics.

Nissim Varon |

Mr. Varon has over 27 years of managerial experience in R&D and Engineering, as well as Production, in both hardware and software fields. During the past 15 years, Mr. Varon has served in a number of executive positions and has carried out diverse R&D activities. In his most recent position, Mr. Varon served as VP - Research & Development and Engineering with Telegate (acquired by Terayon in January 2000). In this position, he was responsible for all the operating activities, from the system’s definition through development, qualification, certification and hand-off of the project to the production team.

David Barton|

With over 25 years experience in the medical devices and pharmaceutics industry Mr. Barton was the former Global Director of Strategic Alliances and Business Development for Life Support Systems at GE Healthcare during the years 2001 – 2006. In this capacity, David led Business Development activities as member of the executive core team of Life Support Solutions. In addition David was the leading negotiator for Life Support Systems for all license, merger and acquisition deals, developed strategic alliances with a number of partners including Baxter Healthcare, Abbott Hospital Products Division, Deep Breeze, B. Braun, and Schiller America.
Prior to joining GE Healthcare David held different marketing positions as VP Marketing and VP Sales with Baxter, Teveten, Akorn Ophtalmics, and Bristol Meyer Squibb. Mr. Barton graduated from the University of Indiana and holds a MBA in Marketing, and a Master in Public Affairs and Management.

Daniel H. Rorman, MD|

With over 16 years experience as a Primary Care Physician, Dr. Rorman has been board-certified in Internal Medicine, is a graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York and has extensive thoracic and surgical experience. Furthermore, Dr. Rorman holds a M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and in addition a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Alon Kushnir |

As co-founder, and head of regulatory QA and medical affairs of Deep Breeze Ltd., Mr. Kushnir has successfully led the company through FDA clearance, CE mark, KFDA approval and subsequent worldwide registration of the VRI™ technology. In his capacity Mr. Kushnir is additionally responsible for: the global implementation of reimbursement programs, and he plays a key roll in the company business development & interactions with strategic partners. Mr. Kushnir holds a B.Sc. in Life Science and Computer Science with honours from Bar Ilan University.

Jeff Mastrangelo|
President, USA Operations |
Jeff Mastrangelo joined Deep Breeze in January 2008 and has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, most recently at Auxilium Pharmaceuticals where he led in a number of different roles including Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Sales Operations and Sales Training, as well as Vice President of Business Development and Alliance Management. In his various roles, Jeff was responsible for directing the specialty sales force, actively managing domestic and international partnerships, and leading identification and negotiation of licensing opportunities. Jeff joined Auxilium in January 2004 and was part of the senior management team that contributed to the company’s successful July 2004 IPO.
Prior to joining Auxilium, Jeff was a Regional Business Director for UCB Pharma where he led a top performing region and was named Regional Director of the Year. Earlier in his career with UCB, Jeff created a start-up district that was responsible for numerous product launches and was the top performing national district of the year and perennial top performing district in the Northeast Region. Jeff also was named District Manager of the Year on several occasions. Jeff has a BS in Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Pharmaceutical Marketing from St. Joseph’s University.

Prior to joining Deep Breeze in September 2007, Kevin was employed as a regional manager as well as Director of Sales-Northeast with Foxhollow technologies. He has more than 25 years of documented success in sales and sales management with extensive experience in the cardiovascular market. Kevin has held various positions with Boston Scientific, Olympus Corporation, Interventional Technologies (IVT), and American Hospital Supply Corporation.

Mrs. Yael A. Glickman PhD, MBA |

Dr. Glickman is responsible for Deep Breeze's Critical Care operation. She has 12 years of experience in clinical and medical diagnostics with a focus in medical imaging. Her multi-disciplinary expertise includes hands-on experience in R&D, clinical research, regulatory affairs and market development. During her career, Dr. Glickman held progressively senior positions at Charm Sciences (MA, USA), Dyn Diagnostics (Israel), TransScan Medical (Israel) and TRI, a contractor for the National Cancer Institute (MD, USA). Dr. Glickman holds an Engineering degree from Lyon (France), a PhD with honors from the Weizmann Institute of Sciences, and additional post-doctoral training at Tufts University in Boston. Recently, Dr. Glickman completed an MBA degree at the Israel Institute of Technology. During the course of her career, Dr. Glickman lectured in various academic institutions and hospitals, and she has co-authored several patents, peer-reviewed articles and a book chapter.

Mrs. Gat has served as the Director of Clinical Affairs at Deep Breeze Ltd. since 2004. Prior to this, she worked for a global leading company in medical and aesthetic lasers and light-based technology. She has 12 years of extensive experience in clinical and regulatory affairs. Her expertise includes strategic leadership in clinical research planning and implementation to meet R&D, regulatory (510(k) and PMA for a Class III invasive device) and worldwide marketing goals. Mrs. Gat has played a key role in building scientific relationships with physicians in order to develop medical strategies and market opportunities. Mrs. Gat holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics in conjunction with Biomedical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
